Hi,
Dan and I often tell people there is no harder working, effective and friendly people than the people who take care of us at Alternative Resources. This morning I sent a mail request and paused long enough to see you have pictures posted of yourselves, your work areas, etc. Those pictures convinced me that all we’ve told people doesn’t come close to acknowledging your hard work and efforts. We appreciate the fantastic service and the feeling we have friends watching out for us at Alternative Resources. In a world full of risk, it’s great to have a “safe” place and people to do business with.
The daily deluge of mail, getting mail ready to go out and dealing with all the phone calls and all the interruptions must be significant. Through all this you folks never fail to answer the phone with a smile in your voice. You never fail to take care of our requests and you never fail to exceed our expectations of outstanding service. I think you are the bench mark wannabe mail forwarding services should use.
Dan and I want to thank you. We wish you the best and hope your received the courtesy, and appreciation from all of us, that you deserve. Karlene and Dan Williams, August 4, 2006
Dear Paul,
We want to take this opportunity to THANK YOU and your professional staff for a job well done. We have used your service since 1/2/04. We were full-time RVers until Jim had a heart attack and for medical reasons decided to settle down in Arizona. We have traveled all over the U.S. and your mail service never missed a beat and we always received everything in a very timely manner (unlike a prior mail service located in FL).
We now work in the sales rental office of Palm Creek Golf & RV Resort, in Casa Grande, AZ. I want to reassure you that although we can’t receive referral awards any longer for referring new customers to your service, we will explain the attributes of your service and recommend it every chance we get.
Please pass along to EVERYONE on your staff our appreciation. Have a Great Day! Jim and Carol Gairo, Casa Grande, AZ, August 6, 2006.
Hi Paul,
Just a little note from one of your very satisfied Alternative Resources customers.
We liked your services from day one and never had one complaint. When we were traveling we always received our mail as we requested. We appreciated the South Dakota vehicle titling and registration service offered. We also attended, liked and were impressed with your first rally in Sioux Falls a few years ago. Then the last thing we appreciated was receiving the funds which were left over when we no longer needed your services, without even having to remind anyone or ask for it.
Please convey our thanks to all of your staff for a job well done. Regards, Ike and Antonia Van Kampen, May 21, 2006.
Dear Paul and Staff at Alternative Resources
Our time with Alternative Resources is coming to an end after nearly 6 years. You folks have provided us with reliable and valuable service. Since we have purchased a home in Surprise, Arizona and plan to settle down, it is kinda hard to say goodbye to the service and friendship that has been provided.
We will continue to refer customers to you as the need arises. Thank you very much for your loyal service
Marvin & Teresa Tridle, Surprise, AZ June 5, 2005
It was a pleasure to meet you and to see your offices. Pat and I were surprised that you provide so many services to business people and full-timers like us. The mail forwarding and voice mail services you provide for us have made the transition from house to travel trailer an easier one. Your business is well organized and efficient.
We have been very pleased in becoming South Dakota residents. I think the biggest surprise was at the license bureau. In the state of Missouri, a trip to the license bureau for any reason is guaranteed to put you in a bad mood the rest of the day. The lines are long and the clerks are grouchy. They delight in telling you your paperwork is not complete and you get to start all over again at the end of the line.
On the other hand, there is South Dakota. The process of getting the drivers license only required filling out an application, taking the eye test, paying $8.00 for five years and having the photo taken. At about 5:00 P.M. the whole process took only 15 minutes and we walked out with our new South Dakota drivers licenses.
It was a similar process for our titles and the sales tax on our new travel trailer. It was so quick and easy, and the people were so friendly and helpful. We have never had such a pleasant experience at any license bureau. Just that alone makes the South Dakota residency worth it.
We hope to meet you again soon in our travels. Thanks, Paul. Ray and Pat Harves July 9, 1998
Paul, thanks to you and your crew for incredible service as always. It seems that whenever we talk to folks with other mail services yours is always the standard the others just can’t seem to reach. No wonder we keep recommending you. Thanks, Jim Fagen, JamesF3254@aol.com, February 9, 2007.
RV CLIENT COMMENTS:
I want to thank all of you for the wonderful service you gave my son-in-law and I today. Your sympathy upon learning of the death of my beloved Earl, to helping me get the titles changed was handled with great care and concern.
It is a pleasure to deal with an organization that is as caring, as well efficient in handling my business. Please pass along my thanks for making a difficult task much more bearable for me. Sincerely Nancy Jones, August 23, 2004
Paul,
Now that we are established with Alternative Resources, we want to tell you that it was a great experience. Your staff was extremely helpful and treated even our crazy questions with respect. We also received timely service in establishing residence, something we did not receive from our previous service. The information on the website was very informative and your links were extremely helpful in establishing ourselves as SD residents.
Thanks for a wonderful stress free experience. We will recommend your company to others we meet along the road. We look forward to a long association with you and your fantastic staff. Kevin & Margaret McIntyre, October 12, 2006
Prior to retirement I researched the various states to retire (from a tax point of view). Because I planned to full-time RV, Good Sam’s sent a booklet comparing tax structure of all 50 states. From this list I narrowed my choices to Florida, Texas, Nevada, Oregon, Delaware, Alaska, and South Dakota. I wrote a letter to each state Department of Revenue and DMV (I travel full-time in a motor home) and I asked specific questions of each state. Based on the responses. South Dakota won hands down (and my accountant agreed).
I opened an account with Alternative Resources (mail forwarding service) and use that as my retirement address, plus they have been absolutely great about forwarding my mail, I recommend them highly. I opened a bank account with Valley Bank of Sioux Falls, SD and my retirement check goes there electronically. Again I recommend Alternative Resources and Valley Bank. My RV and tow car are registered in SD. I simply wander around (alone) from resort to resort. Life is good. Bill Cook, billcookrv@aol.com, 9/12/00.
Thanks for doing such a great job for us. No matter how many times I have to change addresses you get it right! “We appreciate this very much.” Rudy and Judy Metzger
I saved $300.00 a year on my motor home insurance and $1200.00 a year on my license plates by switching my residency from Utah to Sioux Falls, SD.” Denise Williams
“Paul….you should be recognized. I know some people use other, less supportive and involved companies. I don’t think they have any idea of what they’re missing or the amount of stress you can take out of their lives. I know Alternative Resources has more than met our expectations and we are totally satisfied.
“For people who don’t own real property in South Dakota, I feel the handling of our mail is exceptionally critical. That’s important since I was also determined to be sure we had a clear audit trail and with no muddy waters in creating our new legal residency. Part of that was having our mail handled within the state we now call home. Alternative Resources in South Dakota is an elegant finishing touch in setting up South Dakota legal residency.”
“We hope you do let your office staff know they come across as real, concerned, animated and professional people who can be trusted and relied upon to handle important and sometimes stressful issues for travelers. No matter who answers the phone, they are always involved in the call. They may not know us as individuals, but we feel treated as if we’ve had years of friendly, positive and mutually enjoyable contact with each other. It feels like very personal service.”
“We continue to find your service and your staff amazing. We used your service to register our motor home. The service you provide are well worth the money.”

Paul at Alternative Resources was helpful in directing us to the best government office (there is more than one) to get our drivers licenses. He can be a helpful resource for other local contacts as well. We have used his service for 4+ years with no problems though we have the mail sent on a regular schedule, we understand we can have it sent when we want.
I do want him to stay in business! He has been is business for 13 years. Jan H, July 10, 2002
During the last 6 years your company has handled my mail forwarding. Thank you all for an excellent job. From Kennebunkport, Maine to Tok, Alaska, I have always received my mail. The few delays I did experience were all caused by the Postal Service.
I now have a permanent residence and will no longer travel as much or for a long period of time. Therefore, I no longer need your service. Rest assured that I will not hesitate to recommend “Alternative Resources” to anyone needing your service.
Sincerely yours, Robert Somers, Sr., Sedgwick, CO
